On the occasion of the festival of Diwali, old and used clothes were collected from the entire institute and distributed to needy people. The activity was organized to spread joy and support underprivileged families during the festive season. Students and staff members from various departments came forward enthusiastically to donate clean and usable clothes. A dedicated team was formed to sort, pack, and arrange the collected items systematically. The distribution was carried out in nearby areas where economically weaker families reside. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude and happiness upon receiving the clothes. The event highlighted the values of compassion, humanity, and social responsibility. Faculty members encouraged students to participate in such noble causes regularly. This initiative also helped create awareness about the importance of reuse and sustainable living. Overall, the event brought smiles to many faces and strengthened the institute’s commitment to community service.

As per the instruction from DTE and GTU, organized a Tree Plantation Program on dated 5th July 2025. The Gymkhana of the institute circulated a notice to all departments and instructed them to inform all students about active participation in the program. Faculties and students of the institute followed the instructions and carried out plantation activities within the campus. Students were made aware of pollution control and the harmful effects of greenhouse gases. Various species of saplings were planted to enhance the green cover of the institute. Faculty members guided students on the proper method of planting and nurturing trees. The event emphasized the importance of environmental protection and sustainable living. Students learned the long-term benefits of maintaining ecological balance. Many participants expressed their commitment to taking care of the planted saplings. |
As per the instruction from DTE and GTU, a Vysan Mukti (Addiction Awareness) Program was organized on 28th July 2025. The Bridge Course Committee and NSS of the institute circulated a circular to all first-semester students to attend the program. Faculties and students followed the instructions and assembled in the seminar hall. The program aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of addiction and substance abuse. Students were informed about physical, mental, and social consequences of drug and alcohol use. The expert speakers explained preventive measures and healthy alternatives to overcome addiction. Interactive sessions were conducted to address students queries and share real-life experiences. The importance of family support, peer guidance, and counseling was emphasized. Students were encouraged to spread awareness about the Vysan Mukti Abhiyaan in their communities. The program motivated students to lead a healthy lifestyle and make responsible choices. Overall, the initiative successfully created consciousness among students about avoiding addiction and contributing to a safer society.

As per the instruction from the email by gujarat.gov.in on November 6, 2025, to celebrate Vandematram@150, Vandematram Gaan and Sapath were organized on 07/11/2025. The Gymkhana of the institute circulated a circular to all departments and instructed them to inform all students about attending the programs. Faculties and students of the institute followed the instructions and actively participated in the events. Students were made aware of the significance of Vandematram@150 and its importance in instilling national pride. The program included singing of Vandematram and taking a pledge to uphold the values of the nation. Students learned about the historical relevance of the song and its role in India’s freedom movement. Faculty members emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and patriotism. The event created a sense of belonging and pride among the participants. Overall, the program successfully encouraged students to respect and carry forward the legacy of the nation. |

The Gujarat Cultural Oratory Competition-2025 was organized at K. D. Polytechnic, Patan with the aim of awakening the young generation to move forward on the path of contemplation and conduct for the preservation and cultivation of the values of Indian culture. Students from various departments participated enthusiastically, showcasing their interest in Gujarat’s rich cultural heritage. Participants delivered speeches on traditions, values, and social harmony, reflecting a deep understanding of cultural significance. The competition encouraged students to develop confidence, clarity, and communication skills. Judges evaluated the participants based on the quality of content, presentation, and overall delivery. The program helped create awareness about the importance of cultural preservation among the youth. Many students expressed their thoughts on moral values and discipline inspired by Indian culture. The event also served as a platform for students to exhibit their oratory talents.
An event on Fire Safety and Awareness was organized at K.D. Polytechnic, Patan on 30/01/2025 for students and the general public in the form of an expert lecture and mock drill to improve knowledge about disaster management. This event was conducted by the General Department and the NSS Unit of K.D. Polytechnic, Patan. The expert explained the causes of fire accidents and the precautions required to prevent them. Students were taught how to respond calmly and safely during emergency situations. A live demonstration of using fire extinguishers and safety equipment was conducted. The mock drill helped participants understand evacuation procedures and assembly points. The importance of early warning systems and proper communication during disasters was highlighted. Students learned how quick decision-making can save lives in critical moments. Awareness was also created about electrical safety, gas leakage prevention, and first-aid steps. Participants actively engaged in the exercises and clarified their doubts. The program concluded with a strong message to develop a disaster-ready mindset and promote safety practices in daily life.
Gas Safety and Awareness for students was organized at K.D. Polytechnic to improve knowledge about LPG gas safety through various informative exercises. This event was conducted by the General Department and NSS Unit of K.D. Polytechnic, Patan. An expert from Bharat Gas, Patan provided valuable life-saving and energy-saving information to all students. The expert explained the correct method of handling LPG cylinders and showed how to identify gas leakage signs at home. A live demonstration on using a gas regulator and safety hose was also given. The importance of proper kitchen ventilation and safe storage of LPG cylinders was highlighted. Students were taught the emergency steps to follow during a gas leak and were guided on the use of fire extinguishers in accidental situations. Awareness was also created about energy-efficient cooking practices. Students actively participated in the question–answer session, and the program concluded with a strong message encouraging everyone to adopt safe practices and spread awareness in their communities.
It is a proud moment for all of us as India holds the Presidency of G20 from 1st December 2022 to 30th November 2023. The theme of India’s Presidency is “वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्” (One Earth, One Family, One Future)

conservation and protection, as their numbers are declining globally. The first
commemoration of the day occurred in 2010.
